Kate Crawford

Kate Crawford​ is a leading international expert on the complex social impacts of large-scale data, machine learning and AI. She is a Principal Researcher at MSR-NYC, a ​Visiting Professor at MIT; and a Senior Fellow at the NYU Information Law Institute. She recently co-chaired the White House symposium AI Now: The Social and Economic Implications of AI in the Near-Term. She is a member of the feminist collective Deep Lab, and is currently working on a book about data and power for Yale University Press.
